Hemp seeds

Hemp seeds are an excellent source of omega-3 and omega-6, two essential fatty acids that the body cannot produce on its own and which must therefore be obtained through the diet:

  • The omega-3s present in hemp seeds are mainly in the form of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), a type of omega-3 that the body can transform into other beneficial forms such as EPA and DHA, albeit in limited quantities. These fatty acids are known for their anti-inflammatory effects and their role in cardiovascular health.

  • The omega-6s in hemp seeds, mainly in the form of linoleic acid, play a key role in regulating inflammation, skin health and the proper functioning of the nervous system.

However, it's important to have the right balance between omega-3 and omega-6, and hemp seeds offer this perfect balance, with an optimal ratio (approximately 3:1) for maximum health impact. These omegas are also beneficial for brain health, cholesterol management and reducing the risk of chronic diseases.
