We chose to reveal it like a treasure we take care of, because it is part of us, part of what connects us to one another, and anchors each individual within a greater whole that we weave together, with love. What have we inherited, and what will we choose to do to preserve this trace, to give it back its rightful place, while allowing space for what is yet to come? Our journey led us to the Marais Poitevin, where we uncovered century-old fabrics, used to craft these bermuda shorts. Our path is built upon the work of those who came before us. It searches, questions, grows — awakened by what was passed down. Humbly and modestly, it reinvents and imagines something new, grounded in our foundations, with today’s consciousness. No two bermuda shorts are identical, because each carries the trace of past harvests, of the hands that wove it, and of the life it lived. The fabric was only washed, because we chose to preserve its history and the marks of time.
